What is x402?
x402 is a payment protocol that enables instant, trustless transfers of USDC on the Base network. Named after HTTP status code 402 ("Payment Required"), it's designed for machine-to-machine payments where speed and reliability are critical.
Instant Settlement
Sellers receive funds immediately - no waiting for bank transfers or clearing periods.
Zero Platform Fees
The x402 protocol has no platform fees. You only pay network gas (fractions of a cent).
Automatic Royalties
When tickets are resold, original sellers automatically receive their royalty cut.
Secure Signatures
EIP-3009 signatures ensure your funds can only be spent with your explicit approval.
Example Transaction
* Actual gas costs vary but are typically less than $0.01
Payment Security
- EIP-3009 Signatures: Your wallet signs a message authorizing the exact payment amount. Funds can't be taken without this signature.
- Non-Custodial: ParlayTix never holds your funds. Payments go directly from your wallet to the seller.
- On-Chain Verification: Every transaction is recorded on the Base blockchain and can be verified by anyone.
- Webhook Confirmation: Purchases are only processed after the blockchain confirms the payment.
